My PlatformONE's Poll Page

This is a highlighted page, as this is a poll page, and I'm trying to get as many people as possible to vote in my polls.

I'm especially asking people to vote in this poll here: http://wp.me/P5xGOF-32

The poll asks would you like to see the proposed Newcastle Rail Line on the "former" rail corridor to Newcastle station OR would you like to see the light rail in Hunter & Scott Sts?

If it's put in rail corridor:-
Faster journey times. Less extra traffic lights needed. Doesn't take up road space. The trams can layover at Newcastle Station without road traffic issues. If the right vehicles are chosen, can use the existing (at the moment) stations of Wickham, Civic & Newcastle.
No need to reduce car spaces. Safer for passengers, motorists & pedestrians.

Can be easily extended.

If it's put in the street:-
Slower journey times. Seven sets of extra traffic lights needed (6 on Hunter St & one in Lee Wharf Rd in Wickham.) Takes up road space, and reduces running lanes. Will create traffic jams when drivers try to right. Less safer for passengers, motorists & pedestrians. A tram coming into a terminus may need to wait for another tram to leave the terminus.

More extra stations & platforms would need to be built along Scott & Hunter Sts.

Harder to extend.
